Water Damage Restoration: Burst Washer Hose in a Carson Single-Story Near Cal State Dominguez Hills

Before and after water damage restoration from burst washing machine hose in Carson home
Water damage restoration: burst supply line, vinyl plank flooring, Carson near Cal State Dominguez Hills

The homeowner heard the machine running at 11 PM but didn’t find the flood until morning. Water had migrated under LVP flooring through the laundry room, hallway, and into a bedroom closet. Our readings showed 28% moisture content in the OSB subfloor, well above the 16% dry standard for this climate. We set up a six-air-mover, two-dehumidifier drying system using Dri-Eaz and Phoenix equipment, documented daily psychrometric data showing vapor pressure differential dropping from 1.2 to 0.3 inches of mercury, and removed only the flooring that wouldn’t release moisture. Four days later the subfloor read 14.2%, within the acceptable range for Carson’s coastal-influenced humidity. The customer received our photo record, the drying log with daily readings, and Haven Standard, Clause 1 pricing before we touched a thing.

Mold Remediation: Hidden Growth Behind IKEA Cabinetry in a Carson Kitchen Near Victoria Park

Before and after mold remediation behind kitchen cabinets in Carson home
Mold remediation: Aspergillus/Penicillium behind particleboard cabinets, Carson near Victoria Park

A musty smell that wouldn’t quit led to this job. The customer had a slow drip from the dishwasher supply for months, never enough to pool, but enough to keep the cabinet backer at 19% moisture. Lab results came back Aspergillus and Penicillium on the particleboard. We built a contained work area, ran HEPA-negative air scrubbing, removed the affected cabinets and backer, HEPA-vacuumed and treated the framing with an antimicrobial, then dried the structure to below 12% before any rebuild started. The irony? This was a 2022 renovation. New cabinets, new countertops, same old copper supply line with a pinhole weep. We documented every stage, including the air scrubber CFM readings, and the customer used our photo record to show the adjuster why replacement, not cleaning, was the right scope.

Fire & Smoke Damage Restoration: Kitchen Grease Fire in a Carson Duplex Near Carson Street

Before and after fire and smoke damage restoration in Carson duplex kitchen
Fire & smoke damage restoration: protein smoke, synthetic soot, Carson duplex near Carson Street

Grease pan on the stove, distracted by a phone call, and the cabinet above caught before the suppressor triggered. The fire was out in minutes but the smoke traveled. Protein smoke from the grease fire left a nearly invisible film on every surface, and synthetic soot from the melted laminate cabinets required wet-cleaning with specialized agents, not standard degreasers. We tested surfaces with chem sponges to map the full migration path, found smoke residue in the upstairs bathroom exhaust duct, and documented the line where cleaning stopped and replacement started. The customer had a written scope before we began, including the decision to replace versus restore the upper cabinets based on heat distortion measurements we recorded. Total documented time: 11 days from call to certificate of completion.

Sewage Cleanup: Backed-Up Main Line in a Carson Ranch Home Near South Bay Pavilion

Before and after sewage cleanup from backed up main line in Carson home
Sewage cleanup: Category 3 water, main line backup, Carson ranch near South Bay Pavilion

Tree roots in the city lateral forced raw sewage up through a floor drain at 2 AM. Category 3 water, meaning pathogenic and grossly unsanitary, affected 400 square feet of finished basement including carpet, pad, baseboard, and the bottom 18 inches of drywall. We extracted, removed all porous materials per IICRC S500 standards, applied antimicrobial to non-porous surfaces, and ran HEPA air scrubbers and dehumidifiers through tertiary drying, that’s the final phase where we verify the structure won’t support microbial growth even at the molecular level. The customer got our photo record, the disposal manifest for the biohazard waste, and a written clearance letter for their records. We also coordinated directly with their adjuster on the Category 3 classification, which affects coverage determinations on sewage losses.

Storm & Disaster Restoration: Wind-Driven Rain Through Failed Stucco in a Carson Townhome Near Dominguez Channel

Before and after storm damage restoration from wind-driven rain in Carson townhome
Storm & disaster restoration: stucco failure, wind-driven rain, interior wall cavity saturation, Carson townhome

A January storm with 45 MPH gusts found the crack in the stucco that the HOA had been debating for two years. Rain entered the wall cavity, saturated the fiberglass insulation, and wicked across the top plate into the ceiling of a second-floor bedroom. We used thermal imaging to trace the full water pattern, found it had traveled 14 feet horizontally from the entry point, and set up Injectidry hose systems to deliver directed airflow inside the wall without tearing out finished surfaces. Daily moisture mapping showed the cavity dropping from 85% relative humidity to 45% in 72 hours. The customer received the thermal images, the moisture log, and our written assessment of the stucco repair needed to prevent recurrence. We don’t do stucco, but we document what we find so the right trade gets the right information.

Reconstruction & Cleanup: Full Rebuild After Water Loss in a Carson Condo Near Carson High School

Before and after reconstruction and cleanup following water damage in Carson condo
Reconstruction & cleanup: drywall, flooring, baseboard replacement following Category 2 water loss, Carson condo

This job started as a water loss, a failed water heater in an upstairs utility closet, and became a reconstruction when the customer chose to upgrade rather than patch-match 1980s finishes. We dried the structure first, documented clearance at 12.1% moisture content in the framing, then provided a written reconstruction scope with line-item pricing for drywall, texture match, LVP flooring, and baseboard. No surprises, no additions once we started. The work was scheduled, not dispatched, because reconstruction isn’t an emergency response, it’s a project with a start date and a completion date. The customer had our 365-Day Done Right Promise in writing before the first nail went in.
